Gardening and other thoughts
I can't think of a better way to spend a weekend - sunshine, family and friends.
At the beginning of the month, the site that I was working on for Cork ARC, a local cancer support service close to my heart, was officially launched. It's so great to be able to share the site with you after all of the hard work. We also launched the recipe blog which I've been working on for the past year with a wonderful team of volunteers. The recipe blog really deserves another post itself because it's something that I think I could delve into in a bit more detail!
I realise that this is turning into flower central here. Probably because I love photographing them but I've also just started to learn all of the names. This is "bleeding heart" Dicentra spectabilis and I have no idea what the grass is called but I'll learn it in time! I've been able to plant up a bed full of dahlias and peonies so it should be a blast of colour during the summer. I've read that Dahlias are really hard to grow so hopefully are going to survive and flower! I can't wait to see what's going to happen .
This was the first weekend in ages that I've actually allowed myself to switch off. Spent time in the sunshine and went on some road trips and bought some plants. Things are coming together nicely.
